A building 100 is disclosed comprising a runway 101 suitable for use by a fixed wing aircraft 103 during take off and landing. The runway is supported by the building and suspended high above ground level preferably on top of the building. The present invention addresses the problems of noise pollution generated by aircraft during take off and landing.
