Personal transportation system
A two wheeled automotive vehicle having a heavily weighted passenger compartment pivotally mounted on, and with its centre of gravity below, a trapeze cross bar that is in turn pivotally mounted between axially aligned stub axles for the road wheels. Attitude control is provided and means to control reactive forces of braking is also disclosed.
LARGE-DIAMETER MONOWHEEL VEHICLE
The large-diameter wheel has light-weight rim (1). The wheel has several curved spokes (2) which form bowl-like appearance of the whole construction. A triangular sail units (4) are stretched between spokes (2). One side of each sail unit is attached to the corresponding spoke, forming curved edge. Other side is not attached and taut strongly, forming straight edge (3). Such sailing construction not only allows to propell the vehicle along as usual sails do, but creates additional rotatory momentum (torque). The sailing rig guides wind power (10) through slots (9), which ensue between curved and straight edges of a sail units (4). So the circular movement of routed air forces contradirectional circular movement (8) of the wheel. Due to the only induced rotatory momentum it seems possible to move even across and against a wind direction.; At the center of the wheel there is a steering handle (6) attached. Rider has hold on it performing a steering of the vehicle by declining his torso to either side.
